From its bootstrapped beginnings in London in 2012, Semiofest has now travelled the world. In its 7 editions till date, it has travelled and brought the best of applied semiotics to audiences in Barcelona, Shanghai, Paris, Tallinn, Toronto and Mumbai.
There are many places where applied semiotics is looking to grow, where the hosting of a Semiofest can give the organizers the support of a well-hosted and organized global event.
After the huge success of Semiofest in Mumbai in 2018 and the holiday in 2019, we are looking for a team that will host a bigger, better than ever, version of the eighth edition of Semiofest in 2020.

We cannot promise a financial reward to hosting, as a not-for-profit venture we are run on a volunteer basis. What we can promise however is a stimulating experience, collaborative working and the satisfaction of a brilliant event.

Our process of selection:
The decision for the location of Semiofest, 2020 will be taken by the The Board of Semiofest as well as the hosts of all previous editions who comprise our Advisory Council; this is the selection committee who will evaluate the bids.

The deadline for submission is 14th June 2019. We commit to notifying all bidding teams of the result of our selection by the 12th July 2019.
